Spitfire LF Mk.IXe in 1/72 scale built by Jan Baranec. The model represents the color scheme no. 18 – SL 628, pplk.. J. Hlaďo, Praha – Ruzyně, Czechoslovakia, August 13, 1945. The „Naši se vracejí“ kit is August new release in the Limited Edition, cat. no. 2120. The kit also includes: – parts for three complete models of F Mk.IX, LF/HF Mk.IXc and Mk.IXe, – 39 camouflage schemes of Spitfires in the service of the RAF, and in the post-war Czechoslovakia, Israel and Burma – decals by Cartograf, stencils by Eduard – colour photo-etched details and painting mask – Brassin undercarriage wheels, and exhausts – 100 page book “Naši se vracejí”, by Zdeněk Hurt, 2nd extended edition – envelope with postage stamp “Naši se vracejí”, from year 2013.

The improved lethality of the long-barreled 7.5cm KwK40 gun of the Pz.IV Ausf.F2 and Ausf.G was greatly welcomed by German tankers during WWII. The Panzer IV G was supposed to be the first tank installed with the 7.5cm KwK40 L/43 gun in 1942. However, the Wehrmacht needed to urgently counteract the thicker armor of Russian T-34 and KV-1 tanks, so this gun was also fitted to some Ausf.F tanks (where it was known as the F2). A total of 175 F2 tanks were produced from March to July 1942 (with a further 25 converted from F1).
