National Uprising during the WWII. As a result of requests by modelers and fans of this historical theme, we are going to include a Slovak Bf 109G-6 into our production. The scheme of machine W.Nr. 161742, flown by Rotnik (Sgt.) Rudolf Bozik, member of the Combined Insurgent Flight, is shown here in a traditionally presented scheme. The second depicted scheme is brand new, based on actual research by specialists who have been studying this theme. Both camos of Bozik´s Messerschmitt will be soon included in one of our special editions. Look forward!

The 45-tonne Panther was one of the most important tanks used by Germany during WWII. A number of Panther Ausf. A and Ausf.G vehicles, 329 in fact, were converted into command tanks from May 1943 to February 1945. These were known in German as the Panzerbefehlswagen, and they were used as battalion and regimental command vehicles, as well as for ground-to-air liaison. One important design criteria was to make sure they looked inconspicuous compared to regular gun tanks so that they wouldn’t be targeted by the enemy. These command tanks still retained the 7.5cm KwK42 L/70 main gun, but did not have the usual coaxial machine gun. The Befehls-Panther added an additional radio, which caused a corresponding reduction in ammunition stowage. A FuG5 radio was installed in the turret and a FuG7 or FuG8 in the hull.
We are now offering a 1/35 scale kit of a Befehls-Panther Ausf.G. As the name indicates, this command tank is based on a Panther Ausf.G hull. The kit thus inherits the best aspects of Dragon’s phenomenal Panther G kit family, with all the necessary additions typical of a Befehls-Panther. For example, there is a star antenna on the engine deck and the correct mantlet for a command Panther is present. DS tracks are included for easy assembly. this Befehls-Panther kit will command a lot of respect thanks to its accurate, even easier-to-build characteristics.
1/35 Pz.Bef.Wg.III Ausf. H (Samrt Kit)

In WWII a number of German command tanks containing long-range radios were created based on standard gun tanks, and one of these was the Panzerbefehlswagen III Ausf.H. As its name denotes, it was based on the Ausf.H chassis, the first Panzer III version to be fitted with a 5cm KwK L/42 cannon. However, on the Pz.Bef.Wg. version no 5cm gun was fitted, with just a single MG34 for self-defense and a dummy gun to fool the enemy. A total of 145 such Ausf.H command tanks were produced from November 1940 till September 1941, plus an additional 30 from December 1941 to January 1942.
This new 1/35 SMART KIT of the Pz.Bef.Wg.III Ausf.H depicts a command tank fitted with its fixed turret and dummy gun. While it wisely utilizes parts from recent Panzer III kits, it also features entirely unique components. Indeed, this kit has a special appearance compared to other members of the Panzer III family tree. For example, it has a brand new turret, and the upper hull is also new. Because the turret was fixed rather than rotating, the cutout is differently shaped to the round shape needed for the usual turret race. Installed on the engine deck is a characteristic large frame antenna for the long-range radio, and the vehicle looks most impressive when the turret-mounted telescopic antenna is shown extended. This Panzerbefehlswagen III H is produced to the very best engineering levels. All in all, it represents a commanding performance, and fills a niche in Dragon’s Panzer III lineup.

Dragon had a phenomenal response for its brand new 1/35 scale StuG.III Ausf.E kit (Item No.6688), so much so that it prompted the release of even earlier short-barreled versions. In fact, Dragon is offering a kit featuring the Ausf.C/D. The Sturmgeschütz III (StuG.III) has the distinction of being Germany’s most widely produced AFV of WWII, with 10,619 eventually manufactured. Based on the chassis of the Panzer III, it was cheaper and faster to build since it did not have a rotating turret. Only 50 of the Ausf.C were built in 1941. The StuG.III Ausf.D was identical to its predecessor except for installation of an intercom system. A total of 150 Ausf.Ds were built from May-September 1941.
Hot on the wheels of the popular StuG.III Ausf.E comes this magnificent kit. This 1/35 scale rendition boasts many new plastic parts. These include a new fighting compartment and roof, new fenders, final-drive hatches and glacis, side pannier for the radio set and angled side sponsons. There is even a brand new light guard for vehicles specific to the StuG.Abt.177 unit. Like the StuG.III Ausf.E (#6688), this new kit also contains a complete gun with its mount and fighting-compartment interior details. StuG. fans will find it a treat to assemble thanks to the kit’s superior level of detail and engineering excellence.

We complete the trio of new Hetzers in the popular series of 1/35 scale kits with the launch of the Vollkettenaufklaerer 38 w/7.5cm Kanone 51 L/24. What is significant about this kit – as with the other two German subjects, the Jagdpanzer 38 mit 2cm FlaK 38 and the 15cm s.IG.33/2 (Sf) auf Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer – is that it has never before been available in plastic kit. The Vollkettenaufklaerer 38 was originally an effort by Auto-Union to create a tracked reconnaissance vehicle suitable for Eastern Front operations. Auto-Union’s prototypes with an open-topped compartment appeared in early 1944, but they were never pursued. Czech company BMM followed up with its own version of a scout vehicle based on a Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer chassis, with a mockup ready by September 1944. This example based on a modified 38(t) chassis featured a 7.5cm L/24 gun. Also known as the Gerät 564 Pz.Aufklwg.638/12.
The new rendition of the Vollkettenaufklaerer 38 w/7.5cm Kanone 51 L/24 is wisely based on Dragon’s recently released and highly accurate Hetzer-based kits, including their modified wheels and upper hull. To create this novel vehicle, the kit incorporates brand new elements such as a retooled fighting compartment with true-to-scale armored sides. There is a new stowage rack on the front of the hull, and another on the left-hand side of the hull, adjacent to a new antenna base. On the glacis plate, there is a new driver’s vision port, hatch and headlight. Parts to depict the complete 7.5cm 24-caliber Kanone 51 gun are obviously included. The final result is a fascinating, attractive and little-known member of the Hetzer family. While it may not have entered production in WWII, Dragon has made it incredibly easy for modelers to produce their very own Hetzer scout vehicle.
