NEW FROM trumpeter 1/35 Soviet SMK heavy tank 09584

SMK is a heavy tank prototype developed by the Soviet Union before World War II. Its name SMK is actually the initials of Sergey Milonovich Kirov, the former leader of the CPSU who was assassinated in 1934. After the SMK heavy tank was discovered by the German Intelligence Agency, it was classified as a T-35C, which directly led to the misunderstanding that the T-35 had participated in the Sufen War.

SMK only manufactured a prototype car. After the experimental display, it was found that both the weight and the volume were far more than the KV series heavy tanks. After the short-term use of the Soviet-Finnish war, the project was terminated.

SMK’s main weapons are a 76.2 mm gun on the central main turret and a 45 mm gun on the small turret.
