The Bell AH1 Cobra is an attack helicopter produced by the American manufacturer Bell Helicopters in the mid-1960s. It is considered the first real attack helicopter and was used for the first time in the Vietnam War. The designation “Cobra” stands for the heavy armament of the helicopter, which was originally designed as a transport helicopter.
