he Heart of a Z1300
When it was released in 1979, the Kawasaki Z1300 had a larger engine than any of its Japanese-made competitors. The 1,286cc liquid-cooled inline-6 DOHC engine had an output 120hp, in a shaft-driven system, and the results were outstanding: a top speed of 220km/h, with a 0-400m time of 12 seconds. From winding mountain passes to open road touring, the Z1300 was at home wherever it went, with an alluring combination of performance and balance. Now, the engine at the heart of that motorcycle masterpiece is available as a detailed 1/6 scale kit.

 

About the Model

Powering a Legend
With its low handlebar and forward-leaning rider position, the Honda CB750F captured the attention of the Japanese public immediately upon its release in 1979. Its air-cooled DOHC 16-valve inline-4 engine was boosted to 70hp in a minor update in April 1981, at the same time as the addition of air shocks. At its peak, the CB750F was one of the leaders in the Japanese 750cc class, and now the engine at the heart of that motorcycle masterpiece is available as a detailed 1/6 scale kit.

 

About the Model
★This is a 1/6 scale plastic model assembly kit recreating the 748cc DOHC 4-cylinder air-cooled engine from Honda motorcycles such as the legendary CB750F. ★Informative, highly detailed recreation includes depictions of the exhaust system, air cleaner, and rear swing arm with chain drive, as well as numerous parts from small bolts to major components such as the complex cylinder head cover and quadruple carburetors. ★Parts are molded in black plastic, with chrome and matte plated components included. ★Comes with vinyl tubing to recreate breather hoses and oil lines. ★Model is screw-fixed to the included stand. Balloon tires are realistically reproduced with semi-pneumatic rubber, and front wheels are steerable.

Doors can be either open or closed, and a driver figure comes with the kit.

The trunk lid behind the rear seat can be modeled in either open or closed position. Kit comes with a variety of accessories including jerry cans for drinking water, MP40 short machine gun, and gas mask case.

 

The engine room cover can be either open or closed. The compartment holds mechanical equipment including air cleaner, 4 cylinder horizontally opposed air-cooled engine and repair tools including air pump.

Intricate details are recreated on the hidden undersurface components such as central tube, suspension, and engine guard.

A figure of Rommel, the great desert commander, is also included in the kit. His appearance in the tropical uniform comes to life.

About the Kubelwagen Type 82 Africa Corps
Because of its reliability and ease of repair, and since its engine did not require a coolant, the German Kubelwagen proved particularly effective on the searing African desert during WWII. At the request of various divisions in North Africa for a vehicle suitable for the desert, a Continental balloon tire equipped version went into production from 1942. Two types of balloon tires, a grooved and an ungrooved version were used. Because the tires were wider than normal tires, a spacer to raise the height of a spare tire attachment was added to the hood of the car. Some of the balloon tire equipped Type 82 were even used in Italy after the fighting in North Africa stopped in May of 1943.

The straps that hold the hood (can be assembled in the up or down position) to the body as well as the frame of the hood are all molded as separate parts.

The 4-cylinder, horizontally opposed, air-cooled engine has been reproduced with the utmost accuracy. The engine access door can be assembled in the opened or closed position in order to give you the possibility to display internal mechanics.

Side windows attached to the doors are separate parts. In addition to the hood that can be assembled in the up or down position, the side windows can be mounted or kept aside, allowing you to chose between many configurations.

As well as a driver figure, accessories including parts for replication of an MG42 machine gun and a MP40 Machine Pistol are part of the kit. All this equipment will enhance realism of the interior that has been reproduced down to smallest details

About the Kubelwagen Type 82
The Kubelwagen was originally designed as a civilian vehicle, but after German militaristic expansion and mobilization in the late 1930’s plans were soon made for a military version. After the poor performance of the Kubelwagen Type 62, an improved model designated Type 82 went into mass production in 1940. The Kubelwagen Type 82 featured a trustworthy 4-cylinder, horizontally opposed, air-cooled engine, capable of 23.5hp at 3000rpm and provided a top speed of 80km/h. Over 50,000 Kubelwagens were produced by the war’s end. From the searing heat of the North African Front to the blistering cold of the Russian Front, the Kubelwagen Type 82 was used for reconnaissance and communications purposes.

Work on Air Baby in the 1/72 scale continues, at which point the mold made by 3D technology is completed in metal. The latest modifications are under way, especially polishing.
Prior to the finale there are selected color schemes that have after corrections and the first sheet containing the matriculation is printed.
The launch of Air Baby is planned for this year.
