NEW FROM Trumpeter 1/350 St. Esteban Dreadnought 05365

product description:
The San Esteban started construction in 1912 and entered service in July 1914. It was the world’s first dreadnought ship with a triple knapsack main gun. Both the turret and the main gun came from the famous Skoda Arsenal, which is equipped with a 305mm three-armed main gun with a range of 20km. The secondary gun is also a 150mm gun produced by Skoda, which is installed in the side shell of the cabin deck.

The Saint Esteban adopts a flat deck design that was rarely seen at the time. The hull was thick and fat, the main engine power was 27,000 horsepower, and the speed was about 20.4 knots.

During the First World War, due to the geographical restrictions of the Adriatic Sea where the Austro-Hungarian empire was located, the St. Esteban could only be docked in the port. On June 30, 1918, the San Esteban and its sister ships were sunk by Italian navy torpedo boats while setting sail to break through the blockade.
