Legendary War Eagle – 1/48 American light attack aircraft A-4M “Skyhawk” The
A-4 light attack aircraft “Skyhawk” was officially released. It is a type of attack aircraft developed by the American Douglas Company in the early 1950s. The prototype is the A4D. , originally designed as a carrier-based aircraft for U.S. Navy aircraft carriers. The aircraft first flew in 1954 and played a key role in the Vietnam War. It also participated in the Falklands War and the Yom Kippur War. It is a truly legendary war eagle.
Since its design was finalized in the 1950s, the A-4 Skyhawk has served in the armies of nearly 10 countries for nearly half a century. As an attack aircraft developed and improved specifically for the needs of the U.S. Marine Corps, the A-4M’s combat performance is no longer the same as that of earlier models.
The A-4M engine was replaced with a new model J52-P-408, which increased thrust by 20% compared to the earlier J52-P-8A. The most notable change is a redesigned canopy to improve visibility. A-4M began to be delivered to the Navy on February 26, 1971. The last A-4M was delivered on February 27, 1979, and served in active duty squadrons of the Marine Corps until February 27, 1990. During the A-4M’s ten-year production history, major improvements continued to be made. The final discontinuation of the A-4 Skyhawk set a record for the U.S. tactical aircraft production period of 27 years.
The new product brought by Magic Factory this time is 1/48 American light attack aircraft A-4M “Skyhawk” (No. 5002).
