The USS Midway aircraft carrier began construction in 1943, was launched in 1945, and entered service one month after Japan surrendered. It was the first U.S. warship named after Midway Island, with the hull number CV-41, to commemorate the battle that turned the tide of the Pacific War. Famous naval battle. The USS Midway participated in many military operations such as the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Iran Hostage Crisis and the Gulf War. It was decommissioned in 1992 and deregistered in 1997. It was converted into a museum ship in San Diego in 2003 and remains today.

The NASAMS air defense system was jointly developed by the Norwegian Kongsberg Defense and Aerospace Company and the American Raytheon Company. It is a distributed and networked medium- and long-range surface-to-air missile defense system with multi-target and beyond visual range combat capabilities. Tightly integrate and adapt to the country’s integrated air and missile defense system (IAMD). The NASAMS network expands the defense zone and improves the overall combat capability of the armed forces.

The system has continued to evolve since its introduction in Norway. Current NASAMS system customers consist of 12 countries, including the Air Force and Army.
