Sd.Kfz.250 is a half-track light armored vehicle developed by the German Demag company during World War II based on the D7 half-track chassis. It has about 12 variants and is code-named Sd.Kfz.250 Add a slash (/) and a number after it to distinguish it. These models are divided into ALT type (old type car body) and NEU type (new type car body) based on different body structures. The NEU type is also called a simplified car body. Since the manufacturing process of the ALT type is too complicated, in order to increase production, Sd.Kfz.250 followed the pace of Sd.Kfz.251 and began to undergo simplified modifications in October 1943. . According to the modification plan approved by the military, the NEU type uses a large number of through-type armor plate structures, and the upper armor plates of the car body are reduced from the original 19 pieces to only 9 pieces. Unfortunately, as of July 1944, the total production of the NEU type was 2,400, which did not exceed the ALT type.
The NO.6316 1/35 Sd.Kfz.250/9 2cm half-track light armored reconnaissance vehicle launched this time is a variant of the NEU body specifically designed to perform reconnaissance missions. It is characterized by a fully enclosed structure. A decagonal suspended gun turret is installed on the top of the carriage. The weapons are a 2cm Kw.K38 machine gun and an MG34/MG42 machine gun. Beginning in May 1943, large quantities of Sd.Kfz.250/9 were equipped to the German front-line armored division reconnaissance units, gradually replacing the wheeled Sd.Kfz.222, and remained in service until the end of World War II. As a Premium Edition hardcover version, the kit upgrades and provides many practical parts, such as dedicated Magic Track magic tracks, 2nd generation infantry weapons and equipment used to enrich the interior details of the vehicle, metal width indicators and additional headlights, and a metal etched sheet anti-grenade grille. In addition, the domestic limited edition will also provide an additional set of matching 1/35 armored instructor soldiers.
