product description: |
Fairey’s “Fulmar” was a carrier-based fighter that served on British aircraft carriers during World War II. Between January 1940 and December 1942, 600 were built at Fairey’s Stockport factory. The design of the “Fulmar” is based on the P.4/34 bomber in 1936. The P.4/34 was used to replace Fairey’s earlier “combat” light bombers, although the performance of the P.4/34 was the same as before. However, the Fulmar was a reliable, strong aircraft with good range and eight machine guns.
