Historical Modeling Profile
The McLaren MP4/2 was among the most successful cars with the most victories in the history of Formula 1. In 1985 the MP4/2B made its debut equipped with a TAG Porsche engine, supercharged by two superchargers, capable of reaching the 850 bhp and the adoption of aerodynamic solutions less showy than the previous cars and in line with what the new regulations required. Confirmation of the effectiveness of the project was sealed by the victory of the constructors’ world championship and the drivers’ world championship thanks also to the extraordinary talent of Alain Prost. In 1986 the project was further improved with the MP4/2C version and Alain Prost was confirmed as world champion also in the new season, joined by another great Formula 1 talent, the Finnish Keke Rosberg.
