The British Army has added a new vehicle category to the Armoured Forces sequence , known as the Tactical Support Vehicle (TSV). In October 2008, a purchase contract was signed for 400 TSV series, worth $700 million, including armor upgrades. The new TSV series will be used to carry out accompanying patrols, as well as transport supplies of ordnance and water.
The vehicle family has three models, including "Wolfhound" – a heavily armored support vehicle to support the new "Matiff" heavy mine-protected vehicle combat, "Husky" – a medium armored truck , and "Suburban" "Wolf" light armored support vehicle .
