NEW KIT FROM HOBBYBOSS 1/35 Jackal 1 High Mobility Weapon Platform 84520
The British Army has added a category of vehicle to the armoured vehicle fleet called the tactical support vehicle (TSV). 400 TSVs were ordered in October 2008 as part of the $700m protected patrol vehicles package. The new TSVs will be used to accompany patrols, and also to transport supplies such as ammunition and water.
The three types of vehicle include the Wolfhound – a heavy armoured support vehicle to support and supply the new Mastiff with heavy mine protection (force protection), the Husky – a medium armoured truck to carry out support in less threatened areas (Navistar Defense and Dytecna Ltd), and the Coyote – a light armoured support vehicle to support the new Jackal 2.

NEW KIT FROM HOBBYBOSS 1/35 PLA 59-D Medium Tank 84541
The Type 59D main battle tank is a modernised upgraded Type 59, developed by the Inner-Mongolia First Machinery Group Co. Ltd. (617 Factory) of the CNGC in Baotou, Inner Mongolia. The tank was built from existing Type 59 tanks by adding them with new explosive reaction armour (ERA) plates, night vision, computerised fire-control, and the capability to launch the Chinese indigenous gun-fired laser-guidance anti-tank missile. NORINCO is also promoting the upgrade package to third-world countries which still have large Type 59 and T-54/55 inventories.

NEW KIT FROM HOBBYBOSS 1/35 German Pz.Kpfw.III/IV auf Einheitsfahrgestell 80150
In March 1944, Wa Pruef 6 awarded contracts for the production of three trial Pz.Kpfw. IV auf Einheitsfahrgestell. A decision was made in June 1944 to start Pz.Kpfw.III/IV series production at Krupp-Grusonwerk in February 1945. On 12 July 1944, Krupp was informed that the Pz.Kpfw.III/IV was dropped and only the Pznaerjaeger mit L/70 produced.

The M920 is a model of the M915 series of military trucks produced by General Electric. It is used to tow heavy semi-trailers on roads and in the field. The wheelbase of the car is longer than that of the M916, and it has a pair of non-driving axles that are lifted and lowered by air suspension, which can provide an additional load capacity of 20,000 pounds. There is a 45,000-pound hydraulic winch behind the cab.
The M920 uses Cummins’ NTC-400 turbocharged diesel engine with an output of 400 horsepower at 2100 rpm. It is matched with Caterpillar 7155 semi-automatic transmission (16 forward gears, 2 reverse gears) transmission. The brake adopts pneumatic drum brake.
M920 series trucks/tractors adopt 8×6 drive mode, where 8 is the total number of axles and 6 is the number of driving wheels.

The USS Alaska, the first ship of the U.S. Navy’s Alaska-class cruiser, entered service on June 17, 1944, with a total length of 246.43 meters, a full-load displacement of 34,253 tons, 150,000 horsepower, and a top speed of 32 knots. At 15 knots, its endurance is 12,000 nautical miles. After completion, the Alaska-class battlecruiser mainly accompanies Mitchell’s fleet of aircraft carriers, acting as the flagship of the cruiser squadron and providing protection for the aircraft carriers. At the end of the period when the Japanese navy and air force were about to be destroyed, they participated in the artillery fleet and bombarded the Japanese mainland. After Japan surrendered, Alaska joined the Seventh Fleet. On February 17, 1947, Alaska was retired from active service and was dismantled in the late 1950s.
