NEW FROM Dragon Models-
EST ARRIVAL: | November 2020 |
The M6 Bradley is an air-defense vehicle found in heavy armored divisions, and it mounts four FIM-92A Stinger missiles in the launcher unit on the left of the turret instead of the two TOW missiles in a regular Bradley. Operated by a crew of four, the Linebacker system employs a FAAD (Forward Area Air Defense) C3I suite that allows firing while stationary or on the move. Ten spare Stinger missiles are carried inside the vehicle. The 29.9-ton M6 still retains the standard turret armament of an M242 25mm Bushmaster cannon and 7.62mm M240C coaxial machine gun, but the easiest recognition feature remains the turret-mounted missile launcher unit.
Dragon is in process of renewing 1/72 scale kits of the Bradley items, and now the M6 Linebacker has joined the range! This M6 kit is of the type that has seen extensive service in Iraq in recent years. Dragon’s M6 shares most of the highly detailed components of previous Bradley kits, though with an unique launcher unit for the Stinger missiles. For modelers wanting to produce an Iraq diorama with a unique twist, or simply wish to complete the Bradley family tree, this Linebacker kit is a real prize!
Despite its much-vaunted and powerful panzer divisions, the German military was far from being fully mechanized at any point during WWII. Indeed, many German infantrymen had to rely on their own feet, on horses or, if they were lucky, on the humble pushbike. Now Dragon is going to release a German military bicycle that was such a typical means of transport throughout the war in 1/6 scale. Indeed, such bikes are widely seen in wartime photos and movie clips.
This German bike is highly detailed, as demonstrated by the fineness of the spokes on the pair of wheels. Even the bicycle pump mounted on the frame is included. Furthermore, the handlebars can be turned and the pedals rotated to make the bike as lifelike as possible. This means the bicycle can be adjusted to provide that exact nuance that a modeler might be seeking for a stunning standalone desktop piece. This particular bike is fitted with a rear carrier rack to which various items of personal gear can be fitted too. This is the ultimate bicycle kit, where Dragon’s pedal power reigns supreme!
