Germany’s No. 6 chariot E, usually referred to as the “Tiger” I tank. It was developed by German armored forces in the months following the attack on the Soviet Union, and unexpectedly encountered the stubborn resistance of Soviet tanks, especially the T-34 and KV-1. Tiger I was the first tank to be fitted with an 88mm gun. The gun’s anti-aircraft gun version has demonstrated excellent air defense and anti-armor capabilities. During the war, “Tiger” I appeared in almost all front-line battles in Germany. It is usually deployed in the Independent Heavy Vehicle Brigade. “Tiger” I has a strong psychological deterrent to many opponents. Its design is very complicated, using a lot of expensive materials and production processes, and it takes a lot of time to produce. Therefore, between August 1942 and August 1944, only 1,347 vehicles were manufactured.
