In December 1976 Tamiya released their first on-road R/C car kit. It was the Porsche Turbo RSR Type 934 in 1/12 scale. The following year it released a very limited edition Black Porsche 934. Forty years later, Tamiya released the Porsche 934 Jägermeister to commemorate the original release of the Turbo RSR kit.
